About the Event

The AI+X Summit's 2026 edition takes place on October 1, 2026, at StageOne in Zurich, organized by the ETH AI Center. The event is built around a Main Stage for keynotes and high-level discussion, an Innovator Stage for startups and applied AI use cases, academic tracks and workshops, and an exhibition zone for live demos.

Audience & Attendees

The 2026 edition is expected to draw over 2,000 participants, 150 speakers, 50 sessions, and 65 exhibitors and partners. Confirmed speakers include Prof. Julia Vogt (ETH Zurich), Dr. Jonnie Penn (Cambridge University), Miles Cranmer (University of Cambridge), Prof. Ana Klimovic, Prof. Aapo Hyvärinen (University of Helsinki), Péter Fankhauser (Co-Founder & CEO, ANYbotics), and Christine Antlanger-Winter (Country Director, Google Switzerland).

Programme Structure

The day opens at 09:00 with a welcome address from Annette Oxenius (VP Research, ETH Zurich) and Alex Ilic (Director, ETH AI Center), followed by a 09:50 mainstage panel on physical AI and robotics, and a 13:00 mainstage session on the Apertus open foundation model with Dr. Imanol Schlag. Parallel tracks and workshops run through the day on topics from AI in medicine to reinforcement learning, and the day closes with Public Night at 18:30, which opens the summit to a wider public audience.

Main Topics

Tracks cover AI in medicine and digital twins, generative biomolecular design, physical sciences and engineering applications of AI, AI in financial services and sustainable finance, AI and social media platform governance, AI safety in LLM training, and AI in critical infrastructure.

Closing Session

The day closes with Public Night at 18:30, an accessible session of talks, conversations, and demonstrations aimed at a wider public audience beyond registered delegates.
