The Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit is Gartner's annual flagship conference for cybersecurity and risk management leaders. The 2026 US edition takes place June 1-3 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland - directly accessible from Washington D.C. and a regular venue for senior government and enterprise security audiences. The 2026 conference theme is "Smarter, Faster, Stronger" - a response to an environment defined by AI-accelerated threats, geopolitical instability, tariff-driven supply chain complexity, diverging global regulatory regimes, and the simultaneous need to govern and defend AI investments. The event draws over 4,000 attendees including CISOs, security architects, compliance leaders, IT governance professionals, and security technology buyers from Fortune 1000 firms, government institutions, healthcare, and financial services. Confirmed 2026 sponsors and exhibitors include ThreatLocker, OpenText, IBM, Proofpoint, GitLab, Cisco, Oracle, Armis, Thales, Tenable, Okta, Microsoft, Google, CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, Axonius, and Zscaler, among others.
The summit is designed for CISOs, CROs, security operations leaders, directors of infrastructure, compliance executives, IT governance professionals, and technology buyers responsible for enterprise security strategy. The CISO Circle Programme - an application-required executive experience - provides a curated track for CISOs and CROs with targeted sessions, peer discussions, and networking separate from the main programme. CPE credits are available through ISACA and other providers for select sessions. Both Gartner clients and non-clients attend; all paid registered full conference attendees have full programme access including Gartner expert one-on-one meetings.
The three-day programme combines plenary keynotes from Gartner analysts and guest speakers, a multi-track breakout session programme, pre-registerable interactive formats including roundtables and workshops, peer Meetups, and structured networking. An Exhibit Showcase runs during daily receptions, providing access to security technology solution providers and enabling product demonstrations. A dedicated "Showdown" format within the Exhibit Showcase - introduced in 2025 - offers structured analyst-moderated head-to-head technology evaluations. The 2026 programme covers nine confirmed content areas: AI in cybersecurity - governing the secure use of AI across the enterprise, integrating AI into security operations, defending against AI-generated attacks, and separating AI hype from real value; cyber resilience - embedding resilience into every aspect of cybersecurity programmes; cybersecurity strategy and vision; leadership and culture - security behaviour, team development, and board-level engagement; risk and compliance management in an environment of diverging global regulations; cloud and data security; emerging threats including AI-powered attacks, deepfakes, and supply chain vulnerabilities; metrics and measurement for security effectiveness; and identity and access management as a strategic security foundation.
