About the Event
icnc26 runs September 1-3, 2026 at Berlin's historic Tempelhof Airport. Organized by Hubject, it began in 2011 as a small hackathon and has grown into what the organizers describe as the most influential event in the EV charging industry, now in its 15th year under the theme "Collaboration at Scale: Establishing the Open Smart Charging Ecosystem."
Audience & Attendees
The event expects 10,000 participants, including charge point operators, eMobility service providers, automakers, start-ups, policymakers, financial institutions, and technology leaders, with more than 130 speakers across five stages. Platinum sponsor is AMPECO, with premium gold sponsor GreenFlux and additional sponsors including Alpitronic, ChargePoint, Huawei, Kempower, Siemens, and TotalEnergies.
Programme Structure
The three-day programme runs strategic keynotes and technical sessions across five stages, alongside the Tech Village, which returns with an expanded focus on interoperability demonstrations such as Plug&Charge implementations and multi-platform communications, and an Innovation Zone showcasing charging hardware and digital solutions.
Main Topics
Sessions focus on smart charging interoperability, energy integration, the convergence of mobility and energy sectors, simplified payment systems, and consistent user interfaces to support mass EV adoption.
Closing Session
The event runs through its third day, September 3, 2026, in Berlin.
