About the Event

Future Grid & AI Data Centres Europe 2026 (FGDC2026) takes place September 28 and 29, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany, organized by Leader Associates. The summit sits at the intersection of energy infrastructure and digital infrastructure, focused on aligning power systems with the growth of AI data centres across Europe.

Audience and Attendees

The event expects more than 500 senior leaders, over 80 executive speakers and more than 50 sponsors and partners. Confirmed speakers include Thomas Jarzombek, Parliamentary State Secretary at Germany's Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation; Mario Suykerbuyk, CIO of TenneT; Basil Scarsella, CEO of UK Power Networks; and Rod Evans of NVIDIA.

Programme Structure

The summit combines an exhibition, a strategic conference, a cocktail reception and networking evening, and curated one-to-one meetings through a digital matchmaking tool called MatchSpark. Sponsors for 2026 include Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt as strategic partner, ENGIE as sustainability sponsor, and GE Vernova as platinum sponsor.

Main Topics

Sessions are built around aligning power and compute infrastructure for the AI era, including grid capacity for data centres, investment and delivery of AI gigafactories, and low-carbon, scalable energy-digital infrastructure. The agenda includes a dedicated AI Gigafactories Investment & Delivery Forum featuring speakers from Germany Trade & Invest, Nscale, IFM Investors and NIBC Bank.
