About the Event

The Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2026 brings together two co-located exhibitions and conferences, running October 20 to 22, 2026, at Hamburg Messe. It is organized by Trans-Global Events, part of CloserStill Media, in partnership with the City of Hamburg, Hamburg Messe und Congress, Hamburg Port Authority, Hamburg Invest and the German Hydrogen Association (DWV).

Audience and Attendees

The organizers expect more than 20,000 attendees, over 1,000 exhibiting companies and more than 200 speakers across the two co-located shows. The expo floor is free to attend, while the conference programme requires a paid pass, with an early bird rate available until September 11.

Programme Structure

The event runs across three days, Tuesday to Thursday, combining a trade show floor with a conference track. Confirmed speakers include Kirsten Westphal of BDEW, Juergen Guldner of BMW, Laurence Boisrame of Bureau Veritas, and Silke Frank, president of the German Hydrogen Association.

Main Topics

The programme covers hydrogen production, storage and distribution technologies alongside carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) solutions, with sessions from speakers including Stuart Broadley of the Energy Industries Council, Markus Exenberger of H2Global Foundation and Antonio Iliceto of ENTSO-E.

Closing Session

The event page does not describe a specific closing session. The programme runs through the close of exhibition hours on Thursday, October 22, the final day of the three-day show.
