About the Event
IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 runs September 15-20, 2026 at the Hannover exhibition grounds, with a Press Day on September 14. It's organized by the Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) and is made up of five event elements: the IAA Exhibition, IAA Conference, IAA Experience, IAA Startup Area, and IAA Driver and Family Weekend.
Audience & Attendees
Exhibitors come from across the logistics and transportation value chain, spanning commercial vehicle and component manufacturers, service providers such as fleet management and charging infrastructure operators, tech and digitalization companies working on AI and automated driving, research institutions and startups, and associations and networks representing policymakers and public authorities.
Programme Structure
At the IAA Conference, international thought leaders and experts from logistics and transport discuss industry challenges through keynotes and panel discussions on two stages. The IAA Experience lets professional visitors test the latest commercial vehicles and cargo bikes live on site, and the IAA Startup Area gives startups the chance to showcase their innovations. In 2026, the IAA Driver and Family Weekend once again welcomes private visitors.
Main Topics
The 2026 edition focuses on infrastructure and loading infrastructure for transport and commercial vehicles, alongside drivetrain systems spanning electric, hybrid, battery and fuel cell, and bio and synthetic fuels, plus AI, autonomous driving, and software-defined vehicles.
Closing Session
The show runs through its final day, September 20, 2026, in Hannover.
