The Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit is Gartner's annual flagship conference for cybersecurity and risk management professionals, with editions in the US, UK, Dubai, and São Paulo. The 2026 London edition takes place September 22-24 at ExCeL London and is the primary European gathering for CISOs, CROs, and senior security leadership. The 2026 conference theme is "Smarter, Faster, Stronger" - a direct response to an environment defined by AI-accelerated threat actors, expanding regulatory complexity, geopolitical instability, and the growing pressure on security teams to do more with constrained budgets. The summit convenes over 1,500 enterprise security leaders and draws attendees from across Europe and beyond. It is shaped by Gartner's ongoing research and analyst conversations with security professionals, ensuring the agenda reflects current operational and strategic priorities rather than vendor positioning.
The summit is designed for CISOs, CROs, heads of IT security, directors of infrastructure and cloud security, compliance leaders, and security architects from large enterprises and regulated industries. The CISO Circle Programme - an application-required executive experience within the broader agenda - provides CISOs and CROs with curated presentations, discussions, and peer networking separate from the main programme. Attendees are eligible for CPE credits through ISACA and other providers for participation in select sessions, making the event relevant for credentialled security professionals maintaining certifications. Gartner clients and non-clients both attend; all paid registered full conference attendees have full programme access including Gartner expert one-on-one meetings.
The three-day programme combines plenary keynotes from Gartner analysts and guest speakers, breakout sessions across themed content tracks, pre-registerable interactive formats including roundtables and workshops, peer Meetups, and structured networking. Daily receptions are held in the Exhibit Showcase, where attendees engage with security technology solution providers. Attendees can book private 30-minute one-on-one meetings with Gartner analysts through the Conference Navigator app. The CISO Circle Programme runs as a curated executive track within the broader schedule. The 2026 programme is structured around four confirmed content tracks: cybersecurity leadership and innovation; cyber risk and regulatory compliance; infrastructure and cloud security; and AI security - addressing both AI-powered defensive capabilities and AI-driven attack surfaces. Cross-cutting themes reflect the "Smarter, Faster, Stronger" positioning and include: AI governance in enterprise security - securing AI systems while using AI to strengthen defences; ransomware resilience and anti-ransomware architecture; zero trust and cloud access security; identity and access management; third-party and supply chain risk; regulatory compliance across evolving European frameworks; cyber resilience as a board-level strategic imperative; and security operating model transformation for speed and scale.
