About the Event

The M&A Conference at Cornell Tech New York runs September 16 and 17, 2026, on the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City. It is organized by the Transaction Advisors Institute and immediately follows the Institute's M&A Academy, a curriculum-driven program held September 15 and 16 at the same venue.

Audience and Attendees

The conference is built for corporate M&A teams and is explicitly not open to M&A consultants, advisors, vendors or members of the media; unqualified registrations are cancelled and refunded less a $100 processing fee. Registration costs $2,000, or is free for All Access members.

Programme Structure

Day one runs from a welcome lunch at noon through conference sessions until 5:30pm, followed by a reception and dinner until 7:45pm. Day two opens with an 8:15am breakfast, runs sessions from 9am to 5:15pm with a midday lunch break, and closes with a reception from 5:15 to 6:30pm. The opening session is underwritten by SS&C Intralinks, with opening remarks from William Jefferson Black, Executive Director of Transaction Advisors Institute.

The conference focuses on benchmarking internal M&A processes against global best practices, navigating the evolving regulatory and capital markets landscape, bridging gaps between deal parties to create transaction value, and building shared capability across deal teams.

Closing Session

The event concludes with a closing reception from 5:15pm to 6:30pm on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
