Industry Commentary

The industry's real constraint looks like accountability, not technology, as BIM, twins and AI coexist with the same fragmented teams
Retainage now works like an involuntary loan, with GCs able to hold back more than a job's entire profit for 56 days
AEC firms are being pushed to sell outcomes like less rework, not scope items a client still has to translate
Vendors, executives, IT and field crews can all walk away from a project while the owner lives with the result
Contech founders are being told to stop using LLMs for tasks they were never built for
