Best of LinkedIn: Commercial Fleet Insights CW 36/ 37
Fleet economics are being rewritten from three directions at once. Diesel prices are pushing operators toward electrification faster than incentives ever did, while grid capacity and residual value risk are exposing how much of that transition still depends on infrastructure and financing rather than the vehicles themselves. At the same time, telematics is shifting from a safety add-on to the raw material for insurance pricing, financial forecasting and underwriting. The fleets pulling ahead are the ones treating data, energy and risk as one connected system rather than three separate purchases.
